Yasei Sentai Keitouranger, Fire Rangers

Remember this team: taiko554.deviantart.com/art/Ya… ?  The team is Yasei Sentai Keitouranger (野生戦隊系統レンジャー) translates to "Wild Squadron Lineage-Ranger".  I decided it was time to try and get through the idea, showing off the previous rangers of each element.  So, starting with the main character, here's the Fire Red Ranger of the Keitouranger team and his ancestors.  As I said on the main pic, only the Fire Red powers have been passed down from parent to child, so all the reds are one family line.  This kinda lends to the idea that the reds are some sort of royalty.  The lineage of the reds get the most explanation because of the records kept by their line.  Because the other rangers don't share the same line, there's not too much known about the previous rangers of other elements.  The current Fire Red Ranger is on top in civilian, helmet-less, and full suited forms.  The previous Fire Red Rangers are on the bottom with the first on the bottom left and Aidan's father (his direct predecessor) on the bottom right.

Aidan Ryan is the current Fire Red Ranger.  He's a bit lazy regarding all things not related to fighting evil but is extremely dedicated to his family's mission due to his father's heroic death fighting against these evils.  Aidan has a just heart and is fiercely loyal and eager to help his friends.  Despite his fascination with his family's legends, records, and exploits, Aidan was initially reluctant to assume the Fire Red Ranger mantle because he was raised thinking he would be supporting his older brother rather than joining the fight as a ranger.  However, Aidan's older brother disappeared, causing Aidan to assume his family's legacy as a ranger.  Aidan is protective of his fellow rangers because he has been exposed to the loss associated with this war against evil his entire life and wants to end it so that other families don't have to experience the same pain his has.  As with all Fire Red Rangers, Aidan's element is fire and his animal is the crocodile.  A Ryan family tradition gives each Fire Red Ranger a subtitle (not used like a roll call, but is kinda used in their own familial records)  Aidan's is "The Hero". 

The original Fire Red Ranger was Brandon Ryan, a royal explorer who led his team on an expedition to uncover a legendary elemental power but in so doing, uncovered the demonic/evil/force/curse (really, w/e) which had been sealed by said power.  Brandon and his team fought against this evil for years.  They were later joined by a sixth ranger who was a member of their expedition they believed to have died.  Brandon was the only one of his team to discover the ability to transfer his power to another person and trained his son to take over but was unable to teach his friends the method.  "The Explorer".

The second Fire Red Ranger was Liam Ryan who had been trained since his teenage years to be his father's successor.  Liam devoted himself to learning more about the elemental powers and evil which had been uncovered and dived into various legends and lore.  Liam discovered that all elemental powers had to be present to reseal the evil and was successful in tracking four of the elemental powers (being unable to track the Lightning Green powers, thinking them lost) to new holders.  Liam also learned that once a power was bonded to a bloodline, it could not be unbound.  "The Investigator".

The third Fire Red Ranger was Shane Ryan.  Shane was skeptical of his father's and grandfather's insistence on dying to fight evil and instead dedicated himself to healing those affected by evil.  Shane rejected his heir apparent duty until the other four then-current rangers found him, concerned about the powers they had been granted and implored him to assist them in hiding from the greater public and confronting enemies.  Shane then understood the need to eradicate evil at the source rather than fixing what it had caused.  "The Doctor".

The fourth Fire Red Ranger was Maeve Ryan.  As a young child, Maeve saw her father's life turn around when he began fighting like his forefathers rather than just tend to victims.  Maeve was excited to take over her family's powers and responsibilities and quickly brought together the other people who had inherited elemental powers.  Maeve taught her teammates and others she had gathered (descendants of previous rangers) to support the mission to fight evil all her family had learned.  However, Maeve warned against continuing along a bloodline as it seemingly cursed a singular family to bear a burden and it was important to have their war be known to more than a few families.  Maeve would later marry a man named Stephen (but kept her family's name to pass it to her children, again, the reds are pseudo-royalty in the story) who became integral in helping her uncover more secrets about the war against evil and protect people who were likely candidates for the elemental powers.  Stephen would continue to serve as a mentor to his son's and his grandson's (Aidan's) teams.  "The Professor".

The fifth Fire Red Ranger was Kevin Ryan.  Kevin understood his birthright and as such, joined the armed forces at an early age to learn all about fighting and strategies which would then help him when it became his time to take up the mantle from his mother.  Due to his mother's gathering of other people, Kevin's contemporary rangers were identified before the powers had been passed to them and enlisted in various armed services like him.  When all five had been granted their powers, they became a formidable fighting force with the schooling and training of man's techniques combined with their elemental gifts and dealt more significant blows to the forces of evil than previous teams.  Due to their effectiveness, the evil forces launched a direct assault upon the team's headquarters, severely crippling their abilities and technologies and killing a vast majority of their supporters and the entire team.  "The Soldier".  


So that's a lot to say about the reds.  There's probably more I could say, but I gotta pump the breaks at some point.  Again, not all the ranger pics will have this much text because (in-universe explanation) the Ryan family has only kept extensive records on their own members; (out of universe explanation) I only care this much about the reds.  The idea of the team is familial lineage and legacy, so it makes the most sense to me to provide a lot of information on the central family and current team members.  I think I may give the other previous rangers names, but don't expect much beyond that.  I hope to have a different elemental line up in the next day or two, and keep that pattern up.  As kinda usual with civilian rangers I create, Aidan's shirt is inspired by (and covered up, w/e) by a shirt from BustedTees.com   
Also, yes, the team is called "Sentai".  Perhaps that stems from a more current naming of the team.  I like to think the current naming is Aidan's invention, but each previous ranger team has had some version of the English words in their titles.  Plus, given Aidan's family is Irish, it wouldn't make sense for them to always be called a "Sentai".  So again, maybe the one thing outside of fighting the evil forces that Aidan pays attention to is Japanese culture, hence the team's current name.
Basically, the suits go from basic to armored.  Brandon (1st) is just spandex and probably looks the most like Zyuranger/MMPR (on purpose, duh); Liam (2nd) isn't much more, but at least has a layered-looking suit; Shane (3rd) has some minimal armored pads; Maeve (4th) has a bit more and goes two-toned because I had to work that in somewhere; Kevin (5th) goes a bit bulky to tie in with his military background; and then Aidan (6th, current) slims it down a little while still being armored and protected and has a color scheme similar to the first.  The helmets remain largely the same because they've all got the crocodile as their animal.  However, the mouth-plates change with each generation of suits.
