Kyousou Sentai Soudaiger, Reboot Version

Nearly three years ago, I posted this taiko554.deviantart.com/art/Ta… The idea was to create an original sentai ranger universe, five teams of five, based on people's suggestions.  Thing is, it never came to fruition.  Some suggestions didn't work and I never got the full 20 suggestions I was looking for.  Since it's been three years, I decided it was time to finally finish this off.  And with that idea and motivation came the need for upgraded designs and a slightly new name.

Kyousou (競争) means competition, rivalry, contest, or tournament.  Soudai (壮大/そうだい) means magnificent, grand, majestic, or splendid.  Their sentai name is therefore along the lines of "Competition Sentai Magnificent-ranger".  In that same vein, they can be known as Power Rangers Grand Contest.  Each of the five pictured above are the leaders of their respective teams and each team is associated with an element and certain types of animals.  Some of these differ from my previous version. 

In a context of a story, an alien invasion termed by Earth's governments as H.I.V.E. threatens to dismantle said governments and enslave humanity.  In response, a united fighting force is developed and assembled to confront H.I.V.E.  Despite the threat from H.I.V.E., governments and officials only reward teams for their defeats of alien invaders.  As such, competition and rivalry has been fostered among the teams for funding, gear, weaponry, repairs, etc.  The teams constantly feud among themselves in addition to the ongoing conflicts with H.I.V.E.  It is only when a sixth element arrives that the teams begin to truly unite against H.I.V.E. and oppose the system created by corrupt governments and officials.  *As I've said before, I'm not too much for writing.  This is just a simple summary of what I imagine a story line would follow*

Some of the following has changed since my previous version:
The reds are associated with reptiles and the element of fire.  Their leader's animal is the komodo dragon. 
The yellows are associated with carnivorous mammals and the element of lighting.  Their leader's animal is the cheetah.
The greens are associated with horned and hoofed mammals and the element of earth.  Their leader's animal is the rhinoceros.  
The blues are associated with fish and the element of water.  Their leader's animal is the shark. 
The violets are associated with birds and the element of air.  Their leader's animal is the hawk. 

The general suit design is the same as the version three years ago, with the individual color outlined by black and white interior.  I've changed the belt, chest symbol, and added more detail to the gloves and boots.  As leaders, these five have gold accents but the remaining rangers will just have silver. 

Just like the first version, each team is comprised of five rangers, each with their own color and animal.  Unlike that version though, I've already made up my mind for the pairings of each.  I'm sorry to those who made suggestions three years ago, but I just lost interest in making the final product back then.  I hope to have each team up in the next week.  The fun and challenging part is creating the suits on my various templates.
