Additional Kyoryugers

Phew!  Hot off the (figurative) press, here's my interpretation of additional Kyoryugers based off the zyudenchi #11-23 from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.  I've been trying to tackle these guys for a while and just finished them up.  And it's almost perfect timing because Saban introduced an audience at Power Morphicon to the core five rangers for Power Rangers Dino Charge.  The series won't being til February 2015, but the teaser and cast debut were still cool.

In my mind, there's a parallel earth to the one the show's Kyoryuger's know and inhabit.  In the other earth, these 13 Kyoryugers exist because their respective zyudenryu are the partners.  The canon Kyoryuger's zyudenryu are instead just batteries that give these non-canon Kyoryugers various powers.  Pretty much, the zyudenchi/zyudenryu rolls from the show are switched.  And by some awesome Sentai miracle, the two worlds are fighting the same menace, the worlds merge very briefly, and the 23 Kyoryugers all fight the evil menace together.  Just in my mind.   

The main thing I wanted to do with this group as opposed to other "additional sentai" pieces was mess around with templates.  And I really enjoy the result.  There are only two standard males and two standard females, all the other bodies are different templates.  I also really wanted to make White the 'extra ranger' of the bunch hence his similar design to Gold, but now with larger shoulder armor and different spikes, a different sleeve pattern, and much larger wings.  He'd kinda be the unlucky 13th member, but also the most powerful and whatnot.  I really wanted a white canon Kyoryuger so he's probably my favorite of the bunch.  Like Kyoryu Gold, he's got a wrist-mounted changer, but White's has a blade for up close and personal combat rather than Gold's bullet-firing mode.  White also has a greenish accent color rather than red or navy, just to set him apart a little bit more.   

Some of the colors don't perfectly match the zyudenchi because those colors are kinda too close together.  The zyudenchi all totaled have too many reds and blues, so I spread them out a little bit for a little variety.  Some helmets are meant to very closely resemble the canon Kyoryugers since the zyudenchi symbols were slight variants of one another.  In that vein, some of their chest symbols were very fun to make.  The helmets were much more challenging, especially for all the raptor-esque ones.
